So, my last entry talked about how we skipped spring and went right into the 80s... Apparently, I got it wrong. We didn't *skip* spring, we just got it out of order. The first few weeks of June have been full of breezy, cool days with highs only in the 50s and 60s! Strange.

This morning I'm in a bit of a crabby mood because a thunderstorm came through and woke me up at 2:45am. Grrr. But I do have some news to share.

I have been applying and interviewing for an AmeriCorps position since February, and earlier this month I found out that I've been selected for one! And it's the one I wanted in Cincinnati, Ohio. I'll be working at an elementary school as a teacher's aide... and I can't wait!

The last week of August I'll be making my way out there.. and I have soooo much to do before I go.
